Description
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
Manage attorney calendars, schedule court dates, appointments, and meetings
File legal documents with courts and government agencies, both electronically and in person
Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems
Handle confidential information with discretion
Communicate with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals
Conduct basic legal research and compile relevant information for attorney review
Track case statuses and deadlines
Process incoming and outgoing mail
Prepare invoices and assist with billing processes
Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, greeting clients, and ordering supplies
Profile
Proven experience as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in a legal setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and legal management software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and documentation
