Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a qualified Accountant with robust financial acumen to join their team as a Management Accountant. The successful candidate will oversee all financial activities of the company, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations. You will collaborate closely with the executive team, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making as the company goes from strength to strength in a very robust and thriving sector.  The role would be working 3 full days per week this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a significant corporate transaction.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, offering detailed insights into financial performance.
  • Analyse income streams and provide forecast and profit/loss reports.
  • Implement strategies to improve financial performance, streamline operations, and maximize profitability.
  • Provide detailed financial reports
  • Collaborate with management to identify opportunities and constraints for company growth.
  • Model financial scenarios and provide recommendations based on analysis.
  • Work closely with the management team, particularly the CEO and COO, to deliver financial information and support strategic planning.
  • Attend board meetings to discuss financial matters.
  • Supervise one direct report.
  • Utilise Sage and the CRM system for financial management.
  • Due diligence preparation for potential buyers in the future
Requirements:
  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience.
  • You must be a fully qualified accountant 
  • Ability to prepare statutory accounts.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
  • Energetic self-starter with a keen awareness of financial performance.
  • Ability to work closely with key stakeholders and build strong relationships, particularly with the COO.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality while handling financial matters.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Proficiency in Sage and CRM systems.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Basic Salary: c.£50,000 per annum Full Time Equivalent - the salary would be Pro Rata for 3 days per week
  • Profit Share Opportunity 
  • Benefits: Pension, 23 Days Annual Leave + 1 additional day per calendar year worked,  up to 25 days
  • Free Parking
  • 22.5 hours per week working 3 full days.  The office hours are 9am to 5pm with half an hour for lunch.  The working hours are non-negotiable
