Part-Time Management Accountant

• Pay rate: £19 to £20 per hour
• Job Type: Part-time (1 to 2 days per week)

We are seeking a Management Accountant, on a part-time basis for approximately the next 3 months. 

The role involves assisting with the preparation of end-of-year accounts and quarterly Management Accounts and requires a good knowledge of SAGE 50 or the ability to quickly learn it, particularly for preparing and inputting journal entries. The candidate should also have experience in preparing VAT returns and be capable of performing a range of financial and accounting tasks as required.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Utilising SAGE 50 for journal entries and other accounting functions.
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring timely submissions.
• Performing a variety of financial and accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the organisation.
• Working collaboratively with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Preparing quarterly management and end-of-year accounts and ensuring they are compliant with financial regulations and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant
• Strong knowledge of SAGE 50 or the ability to quickly learn and utilise the software effectively.
• Experience in preparing VAT returns and understanding of VAT legislation.
• Ability to perform a wide range of financial and accounting tasks.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Availability to work up to two days a week, Wednesdays to Fridays
