Part-time Primary Teacher - Luton - January 2025 start

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with an Outstanding four form entry school in Luton who are looking for a part time Primary teacher to join their Year 2 Team. They are ideally looking for a teacher who is available to work between 2-4 days and they can be flexible on what days you work. This role will be paid to scale from day 1.

This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking school in the heart of Luton. You will have the on-going support of your Year 2 team, as well as that of the SLT who have an open door policy and prioritise your well-being. You will also have the support of a large team of support staff who will enable you to teach and deliver effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons which consider the learning needs of a range of abilities.
  • Leave detailed handover notes for the other classroom teacher
  • Work collaboratively with teachers in your year group to ensure a consistent approach across the year group.
  • Build strong relationships with parents
  • Feedback and report on childrens progress throughout the year.

About you

  • QTS Qualified
  • Experience working in Year 2
  • Able to commute to Luton
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Happy to commit to at least 2 days a week
