Title: Purchase Ledger/ Accounts Assistant

Hours: 25 hours a week - Flexible

Location: Borehamwood (Office based)

Salary: £29,000 to £30,000 pro rata (£19-£20K per anum)

Purpose of role:

  • To take full ownership of purchase ledge whilst assisting the finance function with additional accounting tasks

Job Responsibilities:

  • Purchase ledger

- Inputting supplier invoices to Sage

- Reconciling supplier statements and requesting any necessary copies

- Checking prices and noting on invoices / adding to "Not On Agreed Pricelist" list if not on relevant agreement. Emailing appropriate person for approval re: larger invoices where no pricing on file.

  • Reporting

- Providing updated aged creditors report once all invoices are posted and bank account reconciled

- Monthly site costings / summary of payment certs

  • other accounts

- Posting Sales invoices to Sage once payment has been made

- Bank reconciliation

- Construction Industry Scheme submissions, preparing payment certs etc.

- VAT returns

- Credit card expenses - analysing and posting to Sage.

Attributes:

· Previous Accounts experience

· Works with precision, good attention to detail

· Can-do attitude, self motivated

· Intermediate user of Excel

· Ability to prioritise and juggle varied workload
