Role: Partner – Automotive Practice –Supply Chain and Procurement Practice

Location: UK/Hybrid

Salary: £180,000 - £230,000 + Bonus + Commission

Pod is partnering once again with an award winning global management consultancy as they continue to grow their Supply Chain & Procurement team. Working with major OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers to develop and transform their client's operations. They have become integral to the design and development of the overarching strategy for their clients and already have an established and growing Automotive practice. They are well known in the market with a fantastic reputation as well as an inclusive and collaborative culture.

The Partner will join the executive committee and take the lead on building and implementing business strategies to support the growth of their specialist sector.

They are looking for a candidate with a wealth of experience within a management consultancy, working with market leading clients, an exceptional project delivery history and a strong sales/business development track record.  
This is an incredibly exciting role, with a broad scope to deliver impact and drive change with a passionate and driven team.

What will the role entail?

As part of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading your functional area within the Supply Chain & Procurement space, growing this area and developing your already well established team. You will take the lead on strategy development, winning new business and overseeing all client delivery.

  • Your primary role will be the ownership and responsibility for the automotive practice covering delivery, hiring, account management and strategy accountabilities.
  • Be the go to representative for all clients in the Automotive sector – using your extensive industry knowledge to design solutions for the clients.
  • Developing new business opportunities and expanding offerings to existing clients
  • Running strategy meetings with key clients, building relationships, developing long term partnerships and a good pipeline of transformation and change projects
  • Leading on large, high profile and complex change management programmes - reviewing client’s operational strategy, organisational design and process improvement

What skills and experience are required?

  • Previous consulting experience is a must – we are looking to speak with candidates who understand the management consultancy world (Boutique or Big 4/6) and who have operated at a senior level, with a track record of building teams and sector specific practices
  • Excellent procurement, cost reduction and supply chain knowledge specifically within the automotive/mobility space – with a strong network of potential clients
  • Strong leadership skills and experience – the person joining will inherit a strong team but will be expected to grow and develop the consultants
  • Strong track record of business development and generating sales within a consultancy environment
