Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Pastoral Administrator at a leading secondary school in Leeds, starting September 2024. This role is integral to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for students, ensuring their well-being and helping them achieve their full potential.

We are seeking an experienced professional who is passionate about pastoral care and can bring their expertise to enhance the school's commitment to student welfare. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the pastoral team, ensuring efficient operation of pastoral services.
  • Maintain and update student records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of pastoral events and programmes.
  • Coordinate communication between students, parents, and staff regarding pastoral issues.
  • Manage and respond to pastoral enquiries from parents and external agencies.
  • Support the implementation of behaviour policies and procedures.
  • Monitor student attendance and follow up on absences.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and school management software.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
