Pastoral Assistant

Location: Lambeth, South London

Rate: £115 - £135 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Introduction: We are an established education agency currently hiring on behalf of a reputable Primary School in Lambeth, South London. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join the school's team as a Pastoral Assistant. This role offers a daily between, £115 - £135 per day , depending on the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities: As a Pastoral Assistant, your primary focus will be to provide vital support to students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Student Support: Offer guidance and assistance to students facing academic, personal, or behavioral challenges.

  2. Mentoring: Provide one-on-one mentoring to students, fostering a positive and supportive environment.

  3. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff members to address the individual needs of students.

  4. Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to respond to and manage crisis situations as needed.

  5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and understanding towards the diverse needs of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
