Location: Oldham, UK
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Position Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

We believe that pastoral care is essential to student success, and we are looking for a dedicated Pastoral Lead to join our team. Job Overview: As the Pastoral Lead, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the well-being, personal development, and academic progress of our students. You will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide comprehensive support, ensuring that each student can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective pastoral care policies and strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.

Provide guidance and support to students on personal, social, and academic issues, fostering a positive school environment.

Lead and coordinate the pastoral team, ensuring consistent and effective support across the school.

Monitor and track student well-being, behavior, and attendance, identifying and addressing any concerns promptly.

Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' individual needs.

Organize and facilitate pastoral programs and activities that promote student well-being and personal development.

Provide training and support to staff on pastoral care issues and best practices.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of pastoral care activities and interventions.

Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and high expectations within the school community.

Qualifications and Skills:

Relevant qualifications in education, counseling, social work, or a related field.

Previous experience in a pastoral, welfare, or similar role within an educational setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting the well-being of young people.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
