My client is a very well respected electrical compliance and testing company that has been established for well over 40 years, they cover all over the UK and can claim a lot of very well known companies and organisations as customers. They pride themselves on their engineers’ skills as well as always being one step ahead of the ever changing electrical regulations. They are NICEIC, CHAS, Safe Contractor and BAFE compliant and take their service very seriously to make sure their clients always come back in the future.

They are recruiting for Portable Appliance Testers (PAT), you will be:-

  • Testing portable appliances on large commercial sites
  • Going to 1 or 2 sites per day
  • Covering in and around the Manchester to Leeds area

Salary and Benefits for a PAT Tester:-

  • £23,886 basic salary - realistic OTE of 37-38k
  • Bonus scheme for the amount of items tested per day-20p, 30p or 40p per test after daily targets are hit
  • Travel pay
  • Van, phone, fuel card, electrical testing equipment
  • Overtime weekend rota
  • 23 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
  • Yearly KPI bonuses
  • Plenty of additional overtime if required

Skills / experience needed to be a PAT Tester:-

  • Living anywhere from Manchester to Leeds
  • C&G 2377 PAT course needed
  • Experience doing portable appliance testing
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Great customer services skills for when you are on site
  • Be able to pass a DBS check
