My client, a leading intellectual property firm, is seeking a talented Patent Legal Assistant to join its dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for intellectual property law.

As a Patent Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the patent filing process and supporting attorneys and clients with various legal and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete patent office filings, ensuring compliance with all patent filing requirements and regulations
  • Conduct research to determine specific filing requirements as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, patent office personnel, and attorneys, coordinating European and foreign patent filings
  • Handle formalities such as reporting, official correspondence, and issuing patents
  • Respond to communications from clients, foreign counsel, attorneys, and patent office personnel promptly and effectively
  • Utilise patent office electronic filing resources and websites proficiently
  • Maintain accurate case data, reviewing and clearing docket entries daily
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including processing client-billable and firm invoices
