We have an exciting opportunity to join a finance team that truly collaborates with their brands and clients. As the Payments Coordinator you will add value with your specialised expertise and support our brands with rebate payment runs on a weekly and monthly basis. This role will require a meticulous individual who is focused on the detail and wants to learn about the complexities of rebates and client payment variables to ensure that payments are on time, accurate and in line with our contractual agreements.

This role will be supporting our British Gypsum, Artex & Isover brands who are part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working collaboratively with others to optimise processes and outcomes for their customers. Experience in accounts payable, supplier payments, rebates or a wider finance function with a proven ability to adhere to internal controls would be highly regarded- but the most important success factor for the role are your attributes:

  • You will possess excellent communication skills and be forward thinking, able to collaborate internally and with external clients to mitigate risk and provide timely solutions to any queries
  • You will have a high level of accuracy & strong numeric skills
  • Strong adherence and awareness of internal controls
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs especially Excel.
  • SAP experience would also be an advantage

What you will be doing:

The Payment Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out monthly and weekly rebate payment runs for the British Gypsum, Artex & Isover brands.

Day to day you will get involved in the following:

  • Processing of all Customer CDA Rebates, Weekly Indirect rebate payment runs for British Gypsum, Artex & Isover in line with the payments timetable.
  • Ensuring all payments have the appropriate level of authorisation in line with the Commercial Authorisation Matrix.
  • Timely distribution of credit notes and payment run associated data.
  • Supporting the business unit to run rebate reclaim process ensuring rebate payments are aligned upon expiry.
  • Manage the Rebate Administration Inbox for payment queries.
  • To liaise with Customers, SGIS Commercial Operations and the Artex Commercial team to resolve any payment queries.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be required by your Line Manager, consistent with the scope of the job.
  • To adhere to all Saint-Gobain policies and procedures and ensure that you respect these with regard to, though not limited to, health and safety, the elimination of waste and care for the environment, equality of opportunity and the prevention of fraud.
