Payroll Administrator
Annual Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 FTE (pro-rata for part-time)
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week)
Day-to-day of the role:
Process weekly payroll for 3 companies, handling 600-1000 employees at peak season. Tasks include importing clocking in times, processing commissions, expenses, and seasonal/year-end bonuses, and sending RTI submissions.
Manage monthly salary payroll for 4 companies with 30-50 employees, including similar tasks as weekly payroll.
Submit month-end figures and year-end duties such as P11D submissions to HMRC.
Handle pension figures processing and enrolment for new members in schemes with Aviva & Royal London.
Manage Attachments of Earnings Orders (AOE) processing and recording.
Input manual payroll journals into Sage 200.
Maintain employee personnel files, process and maintain right to work documents, and manage maternity/paternity leave.
Additional accounts admin duties as required, including bank postings.
Serve as the sole payroll position, requiring competence in independent work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in payroll administration, capable of managing complex payroll systems.
Familiarity with Mitre Finch Flexi Pay system & TMS Clocking in System preferred.
Strong organisational and methodical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information and multitask effectively.
Previous experience in a similar role is required.
