This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Advisor FTC to be a part of our Business Services team. The ideal candidate will have a depth of knowledge in accounting & finance, and will be instrumental in assisting our company's payroll operations.

Description

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees
  • Ensure accurate computation and recording of payroll, taxes, and other deductions
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and ensure company compliance
  • Provide payroll information by answering employee questions and requests
  • Prepare reports that include earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Profile

A successful Payroll Advisor should have:

  • A strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • A high level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and management
  • An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Commutable distance to Reading

Job Offer

  • Salary Range (dependent on experience and interview performance): £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
  • Initial 18-month FTC (likelihood of extension and/or permanent transition)
  • 25 days of holiday leave (+ bank holiday)
  • Flexible working hours to promote work-life balance (37.5 hours per week)
  • Two days per week in the office, three days working from home
