Payroll Assistant

Your new company
Hays are recruiting for a Payroll Assistant for a 6-Month Fixed Term Contract role, this role is immediate starting subject to passing necessary checks and for a minimum of 6 months. Based in South Manchester, must have a minimum of 2 years experience within a payroll team/department.
Your new role
Reporting to the payroll manager, to achieve delivery of weekly and monthly payrolls. Confidentiality is essential. You will deliver all aspects of payroll, you will respond to all payroll queries, carry out statutory calculations, maternity, sickness and any other relevant changes, you will perform manual calculations, and validate all data. You will analyse data, sense check information. You will support with project work, ensure all deadlines are met. You will keep up to date with all external agencies and ensure legislation is met.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a minimum of 2 years experience, you will be immediately available and able to commit to a 6-month fixed-term project, you will have advanced excel skills, you will have the ability to understand and calculate manually, you will have a customer focused approach, you will have excellent attention to detail, you will be a strong team player with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
