Our client, a world leader in their field with offices all over the globe are recruiting a Payroll Assistant to join their teamin Ipswich. The successful applicant will need volume payroll experience and be able to communicate between HR and employees comfortably. Strong Excel skills are essential including the ability to work to tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills.

Duties wil include:

  • Prepare payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis
  • Incorporate payroll changes and cut-off dates
  • SSP, SPP and SMP calculation
  • Maintain payroll procedures
  • Respond efficiently to payroll queries
  • Provide management information reports
  • Provide security payslips for employees
  • PAYE/NIC
  • Employee advice and liaison with HM Revenues and Customs
  • Complete PSA & P11Ds
  • Assist colleagues with payroll support

You must have

  • At least 6 months experience or good knowledge of working within payroll
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel
