The key responsibilities of a Payroll Assistant will include:

  • Assisting with payroll processing to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Providing support to the finance team with various tasks.
  • Managing payroll queries and resolving them efficiently.
  • Ensuring all payroll transactions are compliant with legal requirements.
  • Preparing monthly payroll reports for management.
  • Assisting in annual audits related to payroll.

Profile

A successful Payroll Assistant should have:

  • A strong understanding of payroll procedures.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll software.
  • Ideally CIPP qualified or working towards exam.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to handle payroll queries.
