Payroll Officer

An accountancy firm based in Billingham are looking for a Payroll Specialist who is able to undertake the processing of multiple payrolls in a standalone role.

Joining the team as they enjoy continued growth you will be responsible for managing multiple payrolls liaising with clients to gather payroll data through to employee payments ensuring end to end payroll is administered on both weekly and monthly payrolls. Some payrolls are sole directors and others will have up to 50 employees on one payroll. There will be monthly pension data to pass to pension providers.

Working with Brightpay to process calculations you will also be responsible for ensuring all year end processes are carried out timely.

Whilst the payrolls are not complicated they do require an experienced payroll professional who can work independently and able to manage multiple deadlines without feeling under pressure. Customer service skills are essential as your role will see you converse daily with clients answering their payroll related queries.

The firm are experiencing growth and would expect in the near future there will be an additional Payroll assistant join the team.

The position is offered on a full-time basis although part-time hours would be considered. Most of the team are office based but an element of hybrid working would be considered.
