Berry Recruitment are working with a leading Childrens charity to help them find a Payroll Officer for their operation in Cardiff.

Working as a Payroll Officer you will be involved in the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the payroll database for accurate salary processing and statutory updates.
  • Process statutory payments, deductions, and ensure pension contribution accuracy.
  • Communicate professionally with internal/external stakeholders, maintaining audit trails.
  • Apply internal controls, resolve over-payment incidents, and ensure TUPE adherence.
  • Participate in HR testing, handle non-standard payments, and assist in reconciliation routines.

It is expected that you will have previously worked within a Payroll environment and that you will have the following skills & attribute:

Requirements:

  • CIPP national payroll certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Previous financial environment experience.
  • Methodical approach with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience using iTrent and/or Oracle
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft packages, especially Excel.
  • Strong team player with time management skills.
  • Basic DBS required.

This position is working on a contract basis starting 8/7/2024 and will run until 30/9/2024. The pay rate is £14.03 p/h
