Payroll Officer
Exeter, Devon

£30,000 pro-rata

Our Exeter based client is currently looking to recruit an adept Payroll Officer to join their dynamic finance team on a part-time, permanent basis at their Head office in Exeter. This role is primarily office-based, however offers flexible working hours.

As the Payroll Officer, you will oversee the company's payroll function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payrolls, preparing supporting financial reports, and assisting the Finance Team.

The responsibilities:

  • Calculate and input basic hours, overtime, sickness entitlement, and holiday accurately.
  • Administer tax codes, P45s, and online submissions for all starters and leavers efficiently.
  • Process maternity pay, paternity pay, and shared parental leave accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Calculate and administer pension contributions and other deductions correctly.
  • Handle monthly PAYE, NIC, and HMRC payments with precision.
  • Manage the Company Child Care Voucher Scheme effectively.

The candidate:

  • Proven experience in payroll administration and processing.
  • Strong understanding of tax codes, PAYE, NIC, and HMRC regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
