Position: Payroll Officer

Location: Borehamwood, WD6 1JN

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes for multiple sites, including both weekly and monthly payroll runs. You will be an integral part of the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely salary administration for staff across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration: Prepare and process weekly and monthly payroll runs, ensuring all payroll amendments are correctly administered.
  • Enquiries Management: Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries, providing support and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure payroll accuracy by maintaining up-to-date records and adhering to relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Ad Hoc Requests: Handle any additional payroll requests and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in a payroll department within a multi-site organization.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with Unit 4 is preferable but not essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to handle multiple payrolls simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Effective teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good overall IT skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
