Elevation Recruitment group are currently working with a large wholesale company who are looking to add a Payroll Specialist to their existing tight-knit team. There is a real opportunity for the successful candidate to grow with the role as the business expands.

The Payroll Specialist will be joining the team at an exciting time as they are going through a period of growth, working closely with the wider team in the production of payroll for a multi-site organisation..

What will you be doing?

  • End-to-end payroll processing for up to 2000 employees 
  • Fortnightly and monthly payroll
  • Producing payroll reports in line with business requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of statutory payments.
  • HMRC reporting – RTI, EPS, P11D and Year-end duties.
  • Full understanding of pension regulations (Auto enrolment/ Re-declaration) and submission of pension contributions (NEST).
  • Administration of the time and attendance system
  • Monitoring and maintaining the Payroll email inbox and resolving queries.
  • Ensure the payroll is compliant with regard to national minimum wage
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required as befits the role and development

What skills are they looking for?

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within deadlines in payroll calendar
  • Proficient in Excel
