Our client is a trusted leader in the automotive industry, is renowned for delivering high-quality vehicles and exceptional service. The company is currently seeking a meticulous and skilled PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Technician to join its team in Bicester.

This role is suited for a detail-oriented professional who is committed to ensuring that vehicles meet the highest standards before reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Delivery Inspections: The PDI Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of new and used vehicles before delivery, ensuring each vehicle meets the company’s quality standards.
  • Vehicle Testing: They will carry out basic mechanical checks, road tests, and functionality tests on all vehicle systems to ensure everything operates correctly and safely.
  • Problem Identification: The Technician will identify any defects or issues, document them, and ensure they are resolved before the vehicle is delivered to the customer.
  • Minor Repairs & Adjustments: The role includes performing minor repairs, adjustments, and installations, such as fitting accessories or making necessary corrections.
  • Documentation: The PDI Technician will be responsible for accurately completing all necessary paperwork and digital records, including inspection sheets, job cards, and reports on repairs or issues.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: The Technician will adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaboration: They will work closely with the sales and service teams to ensure that vehicles are prepared on time and meet the required standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, such as a PDI Technician or vehicle technician, is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems, with the ability to perform detailed inspections and basic repairs, is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial, ensuring that all inspections and repairs are carried out meticulously.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify issues quickly and resolve them efficiently is important.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for accurate reporting and effective teamwork.
  • Flexibility: The ideal candidate will be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
