About Us:

Academics is seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join a reputable SEN Secondary School in Liverpool. This school is renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional education and support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are looking for a candidate who can inspire and engage students through a tailored physical education curriculum.

Job Description:

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering adaptive PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students with SEN. Your role will involve fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting physical health, well-being, and social skills development.

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Design and implement engaging PE lessons that accommodate the varying abilities and needs of SEN students.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages all students to participate and enjoy physical activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their personal goals.
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, including after-school clubs and inter-school competitions.
  • Promote positive behavior and social interactions through team sports and cooperative activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE lessons and activities.

As a PE Teacher, you will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a focus on Physical Education.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education practices and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and inspire students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • A genuine passion for promoting physical health, well-being, and personal development in young people.
