Pensions Team Lead

Venn Group are currently supporting on an opportunity to work for an Local Authority, based in London. The role is a Pensions Team Lead paying £300 - £450 (Commensurate with experience) a day via Umbrella Company. The role offers a very flexible hybrid working model, which only two or three days on site a month.

Please see below the job summary for the role:

  • The post holder will lead the Payroll and Pensions Teams in the delivery of a highly responsive, professional and flexible Payroll and Pensions service
  • To improve, develop and monitor to a standard of excellence, all aspects of the Pension service, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Manage an effective and efficient Pension Administration team which delivers a proactive and business focused pension administration service and advice to Council managers through various channels
  • Effectively manage the relationships with Council managers and with other LGPS employers, ensuring that the employer and administering authority responsibilities are carried out in line with legislation
  • Manage the relationship with the Pension Fund’s 39 "other" employers, ensuring that they are aware of their responsibilities, including to provide information regarding scheme members and to remit contributions on time
  • Manage a team of 7 Pensions staff
