Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with a leading charity to recruit an experienced People Business Partner. This role is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation committed to making a real difference.

The People Business Partner will work closely with key stakeholders to support and advise on delivering the people agenda, improving organisational performance, and positively impacting the charity's mission. This role is integral to developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organisation's goals. The successful candidate will champion best practices in HR, drive employee engagement, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and inclusivity.

Job Title: People Business Partner

Salary: £41,278 per annum pro rata

Contract: Fixed Term

Location: Hybrid - London (2 days a week in the office)

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with managers and key stakeholders to develop resourcing plans.
  • Coach and support managers to implement best practices in HR, talent acquisition, and development.
  • Work with the Organisational Development team to identify and address workforce development needs.
  • Promote and embed the charity's values and behaviours across the organisation.
  • Provide advice and solutions for complex HR issues, including employee relations, restructures and change programmes.
  • Manage complex case work, such as disciplinary processes and performance management.
  • Develop and implement employment policies to attract and retain talent.
  • Lead or support projects related to the People agenda, such as pay and reward and leadership development.
  • Analyse workforce data to inform strategic planning and interventions.
  • Support managers with recruitment.

Person Specifications:

  • Strong background in generalist HR, including managing complex employee relations and organisational change.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of the Equality Act and disability awareness.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and rights.
  • Experience in the charity or health sectors.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating learning and development initiatives.
