Role:  Performance Marketing Manager – Travel – Agency Management Role
Location: London – 1 or 2 days in the office, depending on team meetings.
Salary: Up to £45k

The first thing to highlight here is this role will be responsible for the “always on” Performance Marketing campaigns (via an agency) for a UK Travel company. The focus of the role will be to work with the agency to make sure customer are being acquired within the CPA limits and continue to advance and increase the ROI of Digital channels – PPC, Display & Affiliates.

The client is a leading Travel agency based in London they have taken on feedback from their employees and most provide a truly hybrid approach to working. They have no standing requirement to be in the office, they leave it down to you to figure out how you work best, typically people are in the office once or twice a week. They have seen a big opportunity within their industry to grow and expand and are using digital as a main pillar of their acquisition strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is going to be working directly with the Head of Performance Marketing, the Performance Marketing Manager role works as a key member of this team. The role will have full autonomy of the companies Performance Marketing, constantly working with the agency to improve customer acquisition and making sure the budgets are well spent. The business defines itself as a Travel brand, they have been in operation for multiple decades and are a cornerstone of the Travel industry. They have two sides of the business so if you are looking for a Social Media & Content role with a variety of challenges this role has it.

You will be expected to self-manage tasks and work as a “Consultant”, working with multiple stakeholders to establish their needs or goals from the Social Media department. The work will be incredibly varied, no day will be the same. You will get exposure to all sorts of problems and challenges over business.

Responsibilities

  • Design, manage and implement acquisition marketing plans to ensure that objectives are met to maximum efficiency
  • Brief & manage the media agency to deliver:
  • Delivery of a media plan that draws upon innovation and harnesses new technology whilst utilising tried and tested core channels
  • Cross channel campaign optimisation, building retargeting data pools, keyword optimisation, tagging when required, data strategies, landing page recommendations
  • Affiliate programme and campaign management, ensuring we secure strong and effective coverage via the publishers with a low CPA
  • Manage monthly marketing along with maintaining a cost-effective CPA
  • Manage media agency relationships by setting goals, providing media assets, performance feedback, and managing budgets
  • Analyse and report data to measure effectiveness of activity & inform optimisations.
  • Conduct in-depth to inform implementation recommendations as required
  • Deliver against KPIs to meet annual forecast and goals
  • Develop recommendations to reach new customers through desktop and mobile campaigns,
  • Manage PPC, display and social testing schedules to drive improved campaign results.
  • Work with website & CRM teams to ensure user experience is as frictionless as possible
  • Collaborate with CRM (customer retention team) to develop new retention programmes that will drive improvements in lifetime engagement, making full use of the first party data available to us
  • Use all available customer insight such as segmentation & profiling to deliver the most targeted and relevant PPC, display & affiliates activity
    Take ownership of Google Analytics performance management for tracking paid activity 

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

  • A few years of experience working in Performance Marketing – PPC, Display, Affiliates an agency or client side.
  • Experience managing a Digital Marketing agency, setting objectives and managing performance
  • Experience creating Performance Marketing strategies that are delivered by an agency.
  • Experience in tracking and reporting on PPC/Performance Marketing campaigns
  • Experience with budgeting
  • Experience with analytical tools is also beneficial – Google Analytics
  • Highly analytical, with experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player
