Job Title: Personal Advisor - Looked after chuild and leaving care service
Location: Westminster
Pay Rate: £26 Umbrella P/h
Job Type: Full Time/Contract

The Role

To contribute to the assessments, formulation, implementation and review of Pathway Plans through direct interventions and full engagement of the young person.

To provide assistance and advice to Care Leavers in relation to developing practical independent living skills, holding a tenancy and developing financial capabilities.

Provide coaching and motivational support to enable young people to build the confidence and self-esteem to be successful in adulthood.

Safeguard and protect Care leavers as they transition to independence through regular contact and ensuring that they are; effectively engaged; in suitable accommodation; and in education training or employment appropriate to their abilities and aspirations.

The Candidate

  • Educated to A level (or equivalent) or extensive experience of directly working with children, young people, their parents and carers to effect positive change
  • Organisational skills to be able to manage time effectively to balance the competing demands of direct work, undertaking practical tasks, record keeping and following statutory processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, families and members of the community in providing or accessing supports and in achieving change.
