Personal Assistant to Bursar
  • Annual Salary: £29,380 (FTE £35,051)
  • Location: Cambridge
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Temporary to Permanant contract

We are looking for a dedicated and organised Personal Assistant to support the Bursar at a prestigious private school in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be based in the reception area and play a crucial role in maintaining smooth administrative operations within the school environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Undertake a range of administrative duties to support the Bursar effectively.
  • Serve as the first point of contact within the School for Governors, staff, parents, visitors, and others seeking contact with the Bursar.
  • Provide administrative support to the Clerk to the Governors, ensuring efficient handling of governance matters.
  • Manage the Bursar’s diary, scheduling appointments and meetings as necessary.
  • Prepare documents, reports, and presentations for the Bursar and governance meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar Personal Assistant role.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with administrative procedures.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail.
