The Greater London Authority are looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive secretarial, administrative, and research support services to the Assistant Director/Mayoral Advisor. The role is pivotal in ensuring the effectiveness of their work within the Communities & Intelligence / Health, Education & Youth directorate.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage the diary, monitor emails, and assist with prioritising the Assistant Director/Mayoral Advisor’s activities.
  • Arrange meetings, collate agendas, distribute papers, and take minutes, ensuring the Assistant Director/Mayoral Advisor is well-prepared for all engagements.
  • Act as the first point of contact, handling queries and drafting correspondence on behalf of the Assistant Director/Mayoral Advisor.
  • Maintain key communication lines and relationships with senior managers, personal assistants, and other staff to support the Assistant Director/Mayoral Advisor.
  • Stay informed about planned meetings and key developments relevant to the Unit.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including coordinating responses to the Mayor’s correspondence, raising purchase orders, and assisting with events.
  • Escort guests to and from meetings and contribute to the development of effective communication and information systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience providing high-level secretarial support to a senior manager.
  • Proficiency in IT systems including MS Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
