Sales Executive (Chemicals)

  • Job Type: Full-time hours - 6 Month FTC
  • Location: Runcorn, Cheshire
  • Salary: Competitive

Our client is seeking a Sales Executive to join their internal sales team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in their technical team, engaging with chemists, procurement, and finance departments of research institutions and chemical-using companies globally. You will be instrumental in supporting customers to fulfil their chemical requirements for R&D or Process Development projects, providing exceptional customer service and technical support, and building long-term business relationships.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Handle technical enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Manage and grow an existing customer base while expanding the customer portfolio.
  • Present technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Work as part of a busy technical sales team.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers daily to drive business forward.
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding delivery schedules for their requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in a chemistry related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales role, ideally within a scientific industry.
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office software packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
