The pharmacy technician will make sure the pharmacy runs efficiently and will assist the pharmacist in their day to day tasks while providing exceptional customer care in an environment where respect, caring and compassion are at the heart of all we do.What you’ll be doing day to day.As a Pharmacy Technician your customer care will be really wonderful. It’s more than providing the medicine customers need it’s giving them a reassuring experience as a customer. It’s the little things that make a big difference, like a friendly chat. Using your expert knowledge and brilliant advice you’ll put our customers at ease. We’ve so many fantastic health services on offer, why not let our customers know about how they can benefit from them, by recommending how we can support them. It could be a small tip that makes all the difference. You’ll proactively support the Pharmacy team, as the first point of call for customer queries and by driving profit through the dispensary operations. Inspire them with your amazing customer care and attention to detail. Your love for fantastic, and really personable service will keep our customers coming back. You’ll be part of making them feel good on so many levels.How will you do it?Build great relationships with the Pharmacy team, the more advice we can give the better our customers feel. Share what you know with your team, it could make such a difference to someone. Know our customers and local communities– it can make such a difference to the way we do things. Drive items and services by building relationships with local doctor surgeries (GP’s) and practice teams. By passing on feedback and taking action, you’ll be part of improving our care, even more. You’ll need to have completed or be registered in a recognised Pharmacy Technician course in Ireland with knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical legislation and policies, along with really wonderful customer service skills. But it isn’t just about experience, we’re interested in seeing a bit more, the real you – and that makes us all feel good. We are seeking a driven Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated pharmacy team at our Boots pharmacy in Plymstock, Plymouth, Devon. Are you a pharmacy technician looking to train to ACT level? Boots can help! We have an exceptional 6 week program, made up of 3 core elements – Knowledge, competency and assessment. Once you have completed and passed this program, you are a fully-fledged, capable and skilled Accuracy Checking Technician and your pay will increase in line with that. (This program is optional at this time) We like to call you the ‘Captain of the ship’ – Our Pharmacy Technicians set up the day ahead, they organise and allocate tasks in a timely manner, checking in with the team throughout the day to ensure all tasks are completed. Pharmacy Technicians are also involved in the entire medicine dispensing process, from preparation to final checks. They also play a pivotal role in inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and handling the ordering and receiving of medicines.Pharmacy Technicians liaise with healthcare professionals, patients and other members of the pharmacy team, facilitating effective communication so excellent people skills are a must.
