Role: PHP Developer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Role Type: Permanent

Location: Birmingham

Applause IT are looking for a Junior PHP Developer to join a the UK's largest open-source investigation company. They are experts in online investigation and social media intelligence. Their unique methods of interrogating social media utilising in-house software means they can provide extensive, high-quality intelligence, in a cost-effective manner within days or even hours. They currently have over 500 B2B Consumers utilising their platform. This PHP Developer will be joining a team of developers that strive to provide the most powerful intelligence for their clients, which is even used in a court of Law. This PHP Developer will also have the luxury of working a 35-hour week, with flexible working hours.

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a PHP/Laravel Developer for 3 years
  • Familiarity with Laravel 8+
  • Experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, and REST API design
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Development (PHPUnit)
  • Experience with PHP 8, HMTL/CSS, and JavaScript
  • Creative and Efficient problem solver


Desirable:

  • Javascript
  • UI/UX design and optimization skills
  • Containerisation/Docker familiarity
  • AWS experience
