Job Description:

To source and secure the raw materials, to plan production of key areas according to demand and quality standards, whilst maintaining a minimum 80% on time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for material scheduling, updating, and maintaining databases efficiently to achieve on time delivery.
  • To quote and confirm orders, within capacity, and monitor progress through all production areas ensuring adherence to level loaded confirmation dates.
  • To control the inventory levels from supplied material through to final finished bearings awaiting shipment.
  • Identify the risks and threats in the Supply Chain. Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
  • Ensure compliance of purchased materials to our internal specifications.
  • Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Expedite internal and external orders and as required of raw material and components in order to support schedules such as air freighting if required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

Budgetary Responsibility:

  • Drive inventory reduction.
  • Monitor Supplier Spending

About You:

Education:

  • A Batchelors Degree or higher in related field.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge:

  • Experience in MRP & ERP Systems
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge (Six sigma preference)
  • Purchasing processes and methodology.

Skills:

  • Ability to develop strong effective relationships internally across all functions.
  • Analysis of existing processes using data and execute improvements.
  • Excel and SAP proficiency
  • Analytical with a positive mindset
  • Self-starter, and a proven team player to deliver business needs.
  • Project planning
