Workshop Planner
  • Annual Salary: £35k - £40k
  • Location: West Horndon, Brentwood
  • Job Type: Permanent

We are seeking a qualified Workshop Planner to join our team. This role is based at our head office and involves planning all workshop activities, managing our CRM system, sourcing materials, and ensuring that business KPIs are met. The ideal candidate will have a technical understanding of engineering drawings and experience in engineering workscopes.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan all workshop activities through the CRM system, including machining works, fabrication, callout site work, and refurbishment works.
  • Manage the CRM system to ensure all works are scheduled on time.
  • Source materials from suppliers, produce purchase orders, and manage deliveries.
  • Manage goods in and out, ensuring all materials required arrive on time for scheduled jobs and are labelled to associated works.
  • Ensure deliveries are conducted and delivery notes are returned.
  • Work closely with the workshop supervisor for scheduling purposes.
  • Conduct and lead daily and weekly planning meetings.
  • Ensure business KPIs are met and analyse turnover based on actual jobs versus potentials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to organise and multitask with good focus attributes.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Technical understanding of engineering drawings for machining and fabrication scopes.
  • Technical engineering experience to understand workscopes.
  • Ability to achieve business KPIs and objectives.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with customers, suppliers, and management staff.
