Futures have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planning Manager on behalf of a leading, global, billion £ food manufacture who are well-known in the market for their great tasting products!
As a Planning Manager, you will manage a team leading and developing the Scheduling and Customer Orders side of the Planning team.
Key Duties of a Planning Manager Include:
- Pro-actively manage and prioritise the daily workload of the Planners, communicating actions to relevant stakeholders
- Drive people engagement across the Planning function
- Lead the continuous development of the Health & Safety and Environmental culture in the planning department
- To provide an efficient and cost effective plan to all areas of the business relating to materials and packaging
- Regular cross functional planning meetings with Operations to identify any plan adjustments
- Ensure robust communications are maintained within planning and across other departments ensuring well informed teams
- Support the supply chain manager with regards to departmental objectives, capacity planning and S&OP Planning
- Work with management teams to support the development of new systems, processes and working practices relating to Production planning
Key Skills and Experience of a Planning Manager Include:
- Experience working in a Planning Manager role within a food manufacturing environment
- People management experience
- Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, IOSH Managing Safely
- Intermediate/Advanced in Planning systems, Power BI, Excel
