Planning Support Officer

  • Location: Carlton Industrial Estate (future move to city centre down the line)
  • Salary: £14.25 per hour (PAYE)
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Hybrid working once trained up (2-3 days in the office)

We are seeking a dynamic and confident Planner to join our fast-paced team. This role is ideal for someone who is a quick thinker, problem solver, and can effectively manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a role that requires constant interaction with social housing customers and construction operatives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Managing 12-15 diaries a day on a work management system.
  • Handling inbound calls from operatives or customers.
  • Planning in responsive repairs, such as fixing leaking taps, as well as compliance works like electrical inspections and booking gas services.
  • Managing a communal mailbox and ensuring all queries are addressed promptly.
  • Collaborating with a team of 8 planners, 1 team leader, and 1 apprentice, with a focus on multi-skilling and rotation of tasks.
  • Initially focusing on making contact with customers to plan work, with the role expanding to managing IT systems and outlook packages as training progresses.
  • Planning in outstanding works and eventually managing the mailbox to cover all aspects of the role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to think on your feet and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident in dealing with a range of customers and operatives.
  • IT savvy with the ability to manage multiple systems and outlook packages.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple diaries.
  • Experience in a dynamic role, with backgrounds in retail and lab being advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
