Plant Fitter – Electrical Exp Req!

Salary is £40-50k.

Thorne and Wait recruitment are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Plant / Electrical Fitter to join our clients friendly team.

As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of machinery including concrete mixers, concrete pumps, concrete batching plants and other heavy construction plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosing and repairing faults on heavy plant machinery – both mechanical and electrical.
Conducting regular servicing and maintenance checks.
Carrying out inspections and testing to ensure equipment is safe to use.
Identifying spare parts as necessary.
Wiring control panels, reading electrical diagrams.
Maintaining, servicing and repairing general hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
Working both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:
Previous experience as a Plant Fitter.
Must have knowledge and experience of 12/24v and 3 phase electrical systems.
Knowledge of heavy plant machinery and their components.
Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Comfortable using IT equipment.

Although the role is based out of our Bicester depot, visits to customer sites throughout the UK will be required. Full/clean UK drivers licence required.
