Plant Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting a Plant Manager for a market-leading manufacturer in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The Sheffield site has a turnover of in excess of £40m and employs approx. 230 people.

The Plant Manager will report to the UK Operations Director and be responsible for the Sheffield manufacturing facility, overseeing site operations and delivering performance improvements and customer commitments.

The roles offers a highly competitive salary, pension, bonus and package.

The Plant Managers duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead the site operations teams to deliver results in terms of Sales & Production, budget & KPI’s
• Develop and encourage a culture of continuous improvement across the site with clear objectives outlined and delivered
• Oversee operations budgets, performance improvements and cost reduction targets
• Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of core values to create a cohesive unit that is responsive to increasing demands
• Deliver succession plans to create high performing teams
• Collaborate and contribute to strategic objectives for the business

The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:

• University Degree in Operations, Engineering, Management or similar
• Higher Degree in Operations Management/MBA (preferred)
• Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean/Kaizen qualified
• Experience as a Senior Plant / Operations / Managerial capacity overseeing a team of 200+
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain operations
• Proven skills in the introduction of new products into manufacturing
• Skilled in improving safety performance and managing people effectively
