Platform Engineer, Platform Automation Engineer for an exciting new role. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions which enable the rapid and consistent delivery of new services. Working for a well-established successful MSP you will lead the design, development, and implementation of platform automation solutions for deployment, monitoring, and management of on-premises and some cloud infrastructure and services.

This is an exciting opportunity working in defence and security sectors as well as other government departments with complex and demanding security requirements. The company have a very collaborative environment, working closely with cross functional teams and would love a platform engineer who can drive the continuous improvement of automation practices to streamline development workflows, enhance release processes, and champion the implementation and management of automation focussed CI/CD pipelines to automate platform deployment and ensure continuous integration and deployment.

Experience of developing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) with a strong focus on automation. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure with a focus on automating infrastructure deployment and management, a strong background in configuration management tools such as Ansible with an emphasis on automation, experience with source management tools and containerisation / orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, with an emphasis on automation.

This would suit a strong communicator who can champion and drive CI, who can integrate automation into all aspects of platform deployment with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to automation-driven issue resolution.

A strong preference will be given to candidates who have current valid UK Security Check (SC) clearance. You must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.
