The Analyst will take the lead on day-to-day Operations work, with close support and guidance from experienced members of the wider Platform Operations Department.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manual handling of all areas of platform operations where cases cannot be completed entirely by technology, including but not limited to: 
  • Managing failed transfers or handling those requiring manual processing
  • Reconciling unidentified deposits
  • Reconciling fees
  • Monitoring and resolving platform exceptions such as failed trades or cash movements
  • Instructing client orders where out of scope of technology or regular processes
  • Liaising with advisers and their platform provider to facilitate complex pension drawdowns
  • Liaising with advisers and their platform provider to manage client life events e.g. Power of Attorney, Pension Sharing Order, client death
  • Managing ISA void, repair & cancellation processes
  • Supporting the Adviser Success Team in investigating and resolving Adviser queries
  • Suggesting and aiding technology development
  • Suggesting and implementing process improvements
  • Ad-hoc projects

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of broad experience within platform operations (more experience preferred though there is potential for multiple hires at different levels)
  • Strong academic background
  • Desire to learn and develop a career in Financial Services

Knowledge/attributes

  • Client focussed, hard-working team-player
  • Understanding of the financial advice process
  • Understanding of the role of a DFM, MPS & rebalancing
  • Knowledge of retail investment products – equities, fixed income, OEICs/Unit Trusts
  • Knowledge of tax wrappers – GIAs, ISAs, Pensions, Onshore/Offshore Bonds
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word etc

This is a home based role with occassional travel to London required.
