Plumbing & Gas Lecturer

- Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract until June 2025
We are seeking a qualified Plumbing & Gas Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and gas, combined with teaching experience and industry knowledge. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to contribute to the development of skilled professionals in this field.
Day-to-day of the role:- Delivering structured lectures and practical sessions in plumbing and gas to a diverse range of students.
- Preparing lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards and learning outcomes.
- Assessing and evaluating student progress through assignments, tests, and practical assessments.
- Providing individual support and feedback to students to facilitate their academic and professional growth.
- Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve course content and teaching methods.
- Staying current with industry trends and advancements to ensure that teaching material is relevant and up-to-date.
- A qualified teacher with PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification.
- LV2 & LV3 Plumbing qualifications.
- LV3 Gas qualifications.
- IV/IQA qualifications.
- Assessor Award Level 3.
- Proven teaching experience.
- Substantial industry experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff at all levels.
- Experience of working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
- Familiarity with the educational establishment environment.
