PMO Support Analyst – 12 Month FTC - £50,000 - £60,000 - London City - Hybrid Working

Role Overview:

I am working with a leading insurer, committed to delivering impactful and strategic change across their business. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Support Officer to join their Change Delivery Function. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that their Programme and Project teams adhere to Change Methodology and governance processes, championing change across the business. You will collaborate closely with the Programme/Project teams, STO, and other business support functions to ensure successful delivery of their strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage key monthly portfolio management RAID processes and provide guidance and support to programmes and projects.
  • Oversee the change portfolio contractor recruitment process, ensuring they have the right talent in place to meet their objectives.
  • Assist in key portfolio management processes, including financial management and resource management.
  • Producing and presenting reports and management information for senior management meetings, including PSG, QBR, and ExCo.
  • Providing support and guidance to the Change Delivery team on all aspects of portfolio, programme, and project-level processes and procedures.
  • Support the analysis of portfolio-level data, providing insights into portfolio health and delivery effectiveness.
  • Work with the STO to continually improve the Business Change processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Assisting the STO in conducting Programme and Project quality assurance reviews.
  • Effectively collaborating with Programme and Project teams, STO, and other supporting functions (HR, TP&O, DPO, Finance).
  • Take ownership of your learning and development, both in technical (e.g., data analysis, critical judgment) and non-technical (self-insight, relationship management) skills.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes, sharing relevant insights with the team.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a change portfolio office environment.
  • Extensive experience across structured Programme, Project, and Change environments.
  • Significant experience in the insurance industry, ideally within a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Experience in delivering portfolio management support through governance activities such as RAID management, financial & benefit management, resource management, and portfolio reporting.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of Programme and Project Methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery methods.
  • Established knowledge of key portfolio management processes, such as Resource Management, Financial and Benefit Management, Planning, and Risk and Issue Management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques used for Portfolio, Programme, and Project data analysis.

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commitment to personal development and staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
