Are you a skilled Project Management Office professional with a passion for ensuring the successful delivery of projects? Do you have experience working collaboratively with project managers and stakeholders to drive efficiency and meet project goals? Our client, a leading organisation in the Utilities industry, is seeking a talented PMO to join their team.

Role: PMO

Duration: 6 Months (extension options)

Location: London or Warwick Hybrid (2 days a week in office)

Rate: £500 - £550 per day (umbrella)

As the PMO, you will play a crucial role in supporting the project manager and wider team in the preparation, monitoring, and updating of programme plans. Your expertise in using MS Project, MS SharePoint, and Excel will be essential in maintaining accurate and realistic plans. You'll also be responsible for reporting key milestone progress and deviations from the baselined plan, as well as identifying resource constraints.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Utilise MS Project and other tools to collaborate with stakeholders and adhere to industry standards and the project structure.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and project team members.
  • Provide progress reports to project management and team members.
  • Identify problem areas, assess the current position, and forecast trends.
  • Report any significant schedule slippages.
  • Ensure plans are accurate, realistic, and consistent.
  • Actively participate in project review meetings.

Knowledge, Experience, and Technical Know-How:

  • Knowledge of RFP.
  • Familiarity with working in a Procurement environment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as MS Project, MS Excel, and MS SharePoint.
  • Detailed understanding of Project Management and its impact on project objectives.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining robust project plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to work effectively across large and complex project teams.
  • Skilled at challenging project managers and teams on plans and resource utilisation.
  • Experience in complex project landscapes.
  • Competent user of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and MS Projects).
