Police Officer
Empowering Learning Greater Manchester are recruiting professionals that have previously worked in the Police, or prison service that have transferable skills to work within Education.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Adapt teaching support according to student's needs
- Prepare learning materials
- Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
- Create an interesting environment for students
- Keep records and attend review meetings
- Work with professionals such as speech and language therapists
- Work with pupils that have challenging behaviour
Skills
- Ability to observe and monitor activities to ensure pupil safety
- Driving: school is easier to access by car
- Report writing: Strong written communication skills to accurately document incidents and investigations if required
- Leadership: Ability to take charge, make decisions, and guide others
- First aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures to provide immediate medical assistance when necessary - can be trained by us.

Experience:
- Former worker/experience within the police or prison service
Licence/Certification:
You will be required to apply and possess a DBS in order to work within an education setting, and must be able to provide suitable references
