Police Officer

Empowering Learning Greater Manchester are recruiting professionals that have previously worked in the Police, or prison service that have transferable skills to work within Education.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Adapt teaching support according to student's needs
• Prepare learning materials
• Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
• Create an interesting environment for students
• Keep records and attend review meetings
• Work with professionals such as speech and language therapists
• Work with pupils that have challenging behaviour

Skills

• Ability to observe and monitor activities to ensure pupil safety
• Driving: school is easier to access by car
• Report writing: Strong written communication skills to accurately document incidents and investigations if required
• Leadership: Ability to take charge, make decisions, and guide others
• First aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures to provide immediate medical assistance when necessary - can be trained by us.

Salary: £18,000.00-£23,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Salford, Bolton, Wigan

Experience:

• Former worker/experience within the police or prison service

Licence/Certification:

You will be required to apply and possess a DBS in order to work within an education setting, and must be able to provide suitable references
