Portfolio Manager

Accounts Manager / Portfolio Manager, £45,000 to £50,000 (Full Time and Part Time considered). Hybrid working.

Due to their continued success, this dynamic accounting practice based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne seek an ambitious ACA or ACCA Qualified for a key role within the business.

As an Accounts Manager you will support a growing client portfolio consisting of small and medium sized companies. Reporting directly to the senior management team, you will lead and develop a highly motivated group of professionals. This role offers lots of autonomy and the opportunity to liaise with and advise clients directly.

This is a varied and challenging role and the main duties will include:

• Preparation and reviewing statutory accounts for a range of SME clients
• Review management accounts and provide insightful commentary to clients
• Lead, support and develop a talented and highly motivated team
• Plan staffing and resources to deliver a high quality service to clients
• Managing WIP to ensure all projects are conducted in a timely manner and within agreed budgets
• Review VAT Returns
• Provide expert advice to clients
• Develop client relationships and identify future business opportunities

You must have previous experience of working for an accounts practice, you will possess strong technical skills and a good understanding of Xero is advantageous.
