Manage global portfolios and positions across investment-grade and multi-asset credit funds with varying risk budgets, with an aim of achieving best-in-class performance and outcomes for clients
Helping to improve and develop investment strategies
Be an active participant in regular credit investment committees and sector reviews
Develop tools to identify new trading opportunities and support investment opportunities
Assessing investment opportunities with ESG integration at the forefront of portfolio decision making
Heavily involved in business development: representing the firm externally, participate in external meetings, engaging with clients (across institutional and intermediary audiences) and delivering the firm’s views to external stakeholders such as media outlets and conference audiences
Represent the fixed income franchise internally as a subject matter expert
Assist with the production of new marketing materials, providing more technical support to adjacent teams where necessary
Remain compliant with the firm’s risk framework and adhere to wider regulatory requirements
Report on the performance of investments to the risk management team
Undertake any additional regulatory exams for this position as required
Involved in actively participating in new product strategy idea generation, working with investment specialists and product teams
Requirements
Strong academic performance, with an MSc in Economics/Finance or any related discipline
Excellent English language skills (bi/multilingual capabilities desired but not essential)
A minimum of 10-15 year’s experience within investment/asset management
A minimum of 5 years’ proven track record of active management in mutual funds/institutional mandates
Solid understanding of key concepts within micro/macroeconomics, as well as strong actuarial skills
Excellent understanding of fixed income and credit/fixed income markets
Understanding of Liability Driven Investments (LDI) preferred
Demonstrable knowledge of and interest in ESG integration
Experienced in and comfortable with client-facing activities such as pitching ideas to prospective investors (particularly institutional audiences) and engaging with external consultants
Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
