Eames is currently partnered with a London Markets Insurer who are recruiting a Power BI Developer to meet their increased demand for data and analytics.

This is a hybrid/London-based role, offering up to £70,000 depending on experience.

The job:

·Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports for the actuarial team, enabling data analysis and communication across departments.

·Gather requirements and develop wireframes with users, incorporating UX design principles to create intuitive and impactful reports.

·Build and optimize semantic models, ensuring data accuracy and reliability through testing and validation.

·Collaborate with the Power BI Centre of Excellence to integrate best practices and standards, support team report development, and provide training in technical skills.

The candidate:

·Proficiency in Power BI report design, visualization, building semantic models, Power Query, and DAX, with experience in enterprise data warehouses and ETL processes.

·Strong background in programming, engineering, science, or math, with at least two years of relevant experience and excellent problem-solving skills.

·Ability to adapt to changing demands and deadlines, with strong written and oral communication skills and a talent for identifying inefficiencies.

·Familiarity with data engineering, data science programming languages, cloud-based and on-prem Microsoft BI stack, source control systems, and/or Agile DevOps principles is desirable.
