We are currently recruiting for a well-established service provider in Blackburn, who are looking for a PQ Management Accountant who can work alongside the senior management team, to develop and improve the current reporting processes and controls. The business is well established and has grown organically over the last few years, with an excellent brand across Lancashire this is a great role for someone to make their mark in an integral position within the business.

Duties as the PQ Management Accountant will include:

  • Assist with the statutory reporting, HMRC submissions and associated reporting compliances.

  • Responsible for the monthly management accounts production, supporting commentary and presentation of the consolidated Board pack.

  • Develop and continually improve the accuracy of the reporting of the balance sheet, trial balance and ledgers.

  • Develop a deeper knowledge of the WIP reporting, closely monitoring the cash forecasting position.

  • Produce meaningful reports within profit and loss reporting structure.

  • Supervise the bank and daily cashflow balances.

  • Modernising the current transactional processes and standardising the controls across the business

The successful candidate will already have experience with all aspects of the transactional reporting and treasury within in the business, offering a high level of integrity and professionalism. You will be knowledgeable in the month end production and able to assist with the management accounts alongside the Directors of the business, preferably developing the management information available to key decision makers.
