This is a superb opportunity to join a well regarded, prolific pricing team, within a world renowned, international law Firm.

This role combines pricing strategy, stakeholder engagement and stafff development and will suit someone who enjoys going out into the business, building relationships, presenting, coaching and finding solutions.

Duties include:

  • Supporting Practice Group Partners with their decision-making on all aspects of pricing
  • Development and coaching of pricing analyst
  • Proactively plan and successfully implement activities which enhance the firm’s pricing execution capabilities through the provision of training, tools and guidance
  • Ongoing tactical pricing support for tenders
  • Proactive analysis of data to better understand expected costs of defined matter types
  • Undertake financial modelling and scenario analysis to support pricing decisions on significant matter-based pricing
  • Build relationships of trust and respect within the Practice Group in order to become a trusted advisor
  • Support the firm's pricing approval process
  • Support alignment of activities and priorities with the regional Legal Operations team, Practice Group leaders and with other Business Service functions

Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of Pricing within the legal industry including a keen understanding of Alternative Fee Arrangements and pricing legislations.
  • Previous experience of working in a pricing function within a Law Firm or Professional Services Firm
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commercially agile with the ability to grasp difficult concepts quickly
  • Experience of successful interactions with clients on pricing - both to understand client needs and also direct negotiations on behalf of the firm
  • Able to build relationships and influence all levels of seniority
  • Extremely numerate, with the proven ability to convert complex/raw data into concise and actionable intelligence
  • Understanding of law firm economics and fee models
  • Experience of using a Financial Practice Management System e.g. Elite or Aderant Expert. (Preferred but not a necessity)
  • Recognised professional accountancy or pricing qualification (preferred but not essential)

Excellent salary, plus discretionary bonus scheme (up to 15%)
